ASUU Labels Resumption News As Fake, Says Nothing Of Such Is True

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has labeled news on resumption as “fake” claiming there’s nothing as calling of the ongoing strike.
Earlier today, several outlets reported that ASUU had called of their ongoing strike and has directed lecturers to resume with immediate effect.
Reacting to this via the official Twitter account, ASUU wrote, “Contrary to speculations making the rounds in the social media by @myschoolnews_Ng that the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, has called off strike, nothing of such is true.”
“Commenting on the development, the Chairman of the University of Lagos, UNILAG chapter of the union, Dr Dele Ashiru, said that nothing of such happened. If we are going to call off our going strike, there is process that will be followed and nothing of such has been done,” ASUU added.
